After Hours & Emergency Care

If you are experiencing a medical emergency, please call 911 immediately or go to the nearest emergency room.

For urgent medical concerns that cannot wait until regular office hours, please call our main office number  352 751-4958  to access our after-hours service. The line is staffed by experienced pediatric nurses who follow established clinical protocols and will contact the on-call clinician if needed. We ask that this service be reserved for time-sensitive medical questions, as it is intended for urgent clinical needs rather than routine matters.

As your child’s medical home, we are committed to providing accessible care when it matters most while ensuring appropriate use of emergency and after-hours resources.

At this time, we do not charge families for access to our after-hours service. In order to remain accessible and continue offering this added support without additional cost, we respectfully ask that the line be reserved for urgent, time-sensitive medical concerns only.

Emergencies

Emergencies are considered to be those conditions that are life-threatening: loss of consciousness, severe bleeding, seizure, etc. In the case of minor emergencies (lacerations, cuts, mild fractures, sprains), please call our office first for instructions.
